In despair, Siegfried returns to the lakeside, reconciles with Odette, but tragedy strikes when he drowns. Despite his demise, Siegfried's ideals live on.
The Hungarian National Ballet's rendition of Swan Lake, adapted by Rudi van Dantzig and Toer van Schayk in 1988, has been a cornerstone of their repertoire since 2015.
