The Global Notes series of concerts presented by Dubai Opera and Encore Performing Arts continues with the unmissable young pianist from Ukraine, Anna Fedorova and her partner Nicholas Santangelo Schwartz, Cellist.

Encore Performing Arts and Dubai Opera is proud to present the superlative pianist Anna Fedorova and distinguished Nicholas Santangelo Schwartz on cello and double bass. Anna Fedorova will be performing Schumann’s Carnivale followed by his Fantasiestucke for bass and piano. The duo will continue to perform music by Ginastera, Debussy and more.

From an early age, the brilliant young Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova showed an innate musical maturity and amazing technical abilities. Her live recording of Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto has over 37 million views on YouTube and is highly acclaimed by critics and world-renowned musicians. She regularly performs at the world’s most prestigious concert halls. Her partner, Nicholas Santangelo Schwartz is one of the only active cellists / double bassists in the world who plays on an artistic level on both instruments. He’s appeared on cello at the International Chamber music festival, Ede, and on Radio and TV broadcasts in the Netherlands.   As a double bassist, Nicholas has long distinguished himself as one of the best of his generation. He is a laureate of multiple international competitions.

“Anna Fedorova’s beautiful sound and natural freedom in making music with total technical security makes for one of the finest Chopin performances I have heard in a long, long time.”  - Menahem Pressler, September 2022

Nicholas plays a cello by Amati Mangenot (1930, Bordeaux) and a double bass by Gaetano Antoniazzi (1872, Milan). He is a sponsored artist of Pirastro strings. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these wonderful musicians in concert at The Studio.
