Encore National Youth Orchestra – A Celebratory Festive Concert

Join us at Dubai Opera for a winter evening full of warmth and wonder, as the National Youth Orchestras and National Youth Choirs come together in a dynamic evening of music to welcome the winter season in the finest possible style.

Our young musicians will carry you from Mozart’s Vienna to Hogwarts, out across the high seas with Captain Jack Sparrow and on to a galaxy far, far away. Along the way you will hear Bizet’s irresistible Habanera, much-loved songs from Aladdin and Toy Story, a lively percussion mash-up and the glorious sound of our Junior and Senior Choirs, who close their set with the rousing This Is Me from The Greatest Showman. From the opening bars of Alfred Reed’s Russian Christmas Music to the joyful sweep of Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, this is a programme made with families in mind.

A family night to remember:

• Remarkable Young Talent: Watch our Sinfonietta, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Award-winning Senior String Camerata, Choirs and National Youth Orchestra share the stage in one celebratory evening.
• Film Classics and Winter favourites: Seasonal treasures sit happily alongside the fantastic film scores of John Williams and Hans Zimmer, so there is something for every generation.
• An Iconic Venue: Dubai Opera provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of enchanting music, with an atmosphere that makes every performance feel like an occasion.
• Six youth ensembles together on one stage, following successful debuts at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Vienna’s Musikverein Golden Hall
