The Concert
Winter Concert brings festive traditions from around the world together in an evening that celebrates the season through music, memory and togetherness. From festive favourites and familiar seasonal classics to Arabic works, the programme reflects the many ways the season is celebrated across cultures and generations.
The Music
From Sleigh Ride to Feliz Navidad.
The evening opens with Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride, followed by a selection of well-loved seasonal songs, from Silent Night and White Christmas to Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! and the Arabic favourite Thalj Thalj.
After the interval, Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers leads to Der weisse Schnee, Gloria, What Child Is This and O Holy Night, then the Arabic songs Ya Mariam and Laylat Eid, before the evening closes with Feliz Navidad and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
At its heart, this is a celebration of coming together, bringing different traditions, languages and communities into one shared experience. Moving between moments of intimacy and the full energy of the UAE National Orchestra and combined choirs, the evening captures the warmth, joy and spirit of the season for audiences of all ages.
