BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB LEGACY

Presented by Dubai Opera

Experience the soul of Cuba with an intimate celebration of one of the most iconic musical movements in history. Born on the warm streets of Havana, where melody flows as naturally as conversation, this performance captures the infectious energy that has captivated audiences worldwide for decades.

Led by Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., son of the legendary Ibrahim Ferrer Planas, this concert offers a deeply personal connection to the legacy that defined a generation. Ibrahim began his career alongside his father in 1996, participating in the historic recording of the Buena Vista Social Club album and its accompanying Oscar-nominated film. Over the past 26 years, he has carried this iconic legacy across global stages, from New York and Paris to Dubai, Mexico City and Athens.

Accompanied by an ensemble of virtuoso musicians, Ibrahim Ferrer Jr. invites you on a powerful journey through memory, identity and sound. This is more than a concert; it is a living testament to Cuban heritage.

‘Every note I sing carries the story of my land, the rhythm of my roots, and the emotion of someone who knows that music is more than art: it's identity, memory, and soul.’ – Ibrahim Ferrer Jr.

Join us as we honour the timeless rhythms of Havana and experience the enduring spirit of the Buena Vista Social Club.”
