Born in Tehran, Iran, Shahkar Bineshpajooh discovered his passion for poetry and music at the age of 15. A self-taught musician, he mastered guitar, piano, and drums without any formal instruction. His exceptional academic talent led him to become the youngest student ever admitted to a doctoral program in Iran. He later earned his PhD in Human Geography (Urban Planning) with highest honors.

During his university years, Shahkar began releasing musical albums and poetry collections that quickly gained widespread acclaim. In 2012, he immigrated to the United States, where he was awarded the prestigious Einstein visa; recognizing his extraordinary achievements as both an artist and an academic.

Shahkar’s work blends intellectual depth with artistic innovation, offering a powerful, independent perspective on Iranian culture. He continues to create original music and poetry in the U.S., sharing his voice with global audiences. Performing with a 200-piece orchestra, he has sold out concerts around the world and collaborated with internationally renowned artists, including Andrea Bocelli.

Dr. Shahkar Bineshpajooh

Born in Tehran, Iran, Shahkar discovered a love of poetry and music at the age of 15. He learned to play the guitar, piano, and drums without formal instruction. He was the youngest student accepted into any doctorate program in Iran and received his doctorate in Human Geography (Urban Planning) with highest honors. While at university, he began to produce albums of music and collections of poetry, which achieved great success. Shahkar immigrated to the United States in 2012. The U.S. granted him an Einstein visa, recognizing him as a person of extraordinary ability due to his many accomplishments as an artist and academic. Shahkar has brought his unique, anti-regime view of Iranian culture to the U.S. by continuing to compose music and poetry. He and his 200-piece orchestra have sold out concerts all over the world. Shahkar has collaborated with many renowned artists, including Andrea Bocelli .
